Gold Country K9 Services is a pet resort and training center located on Highway 104 in Ione, about fifteen minutes from Sutter Creek. The facility offers customized dog boarding with spacious indoor areas and attached yards, giving each dog a comfortable and personalized stay. Boarding guests enjoy daily activities tailored to their energy level and personality, including walks, cuddle time, high-energy games, swimming, and even agility training. The individualized approach sets Gold Country K9 apart from traditional kennels — dogs are not simply housed but actively engaged throughout their stay.
Beyond boarding, Gold Country K9 Services offers multiple levels of dog training and Nose Work classes, a scent-detection sport that has become popular with dog owners across the region. The training programs range from basic obedience to advanced skills, all conducted at the property’s expansive rural facility. Pick-up and drop-off for boarding runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, with contactless drop-off available from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Out-of-hours requests can be arranged Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM with 48 hours’ advance scheduling.
