Minnie Provis Park is a 2.5-acre city park on Church Street in Sutter Creek, named for Minnie Provis, wife of prominent 1800s Sutter Creek citizen John Provis. Just steps from downtown Main Street, the park offers a playground, picnic tables, BBQ grills, restrooms, and open grass areas along the banks of Sutter Creek.
At the heart of the park is Cribbs Field, a Little League baseball diamond with a snack shack, donated on April 6, 1964, by W.D. “Dick” and Marge Cribbs. The field has served generations of young ballplayers in the community. In 2017, Jackson Rancheria — under CEO Rich Hoffman — funded a renovation of the park, their fifth park project in Amador County following Pioneer Park, Volcano Park, Detert Park, and Chaw’se.
The park is home to the Great Sutter Creek Duck Race, a community tradition since 1987, and hosts gold panning demonstrations during Heritage Days and other local events.
Updated play equipment for kids, surrounded by shaded lawn.
Picnic tables and BBQ grills — available for group rentals.
