Christmas Delights

Christmas Delights is Jackson’s beloved annual holiday celebration held the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving on historic Main Street. The festivities kick off at 6:00 p.m. each evening with the Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of the Jackson Firehouse, followed by Santa riding down to the National Hotel for visits with children. Enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides, the Festival of Trees, the North Pole Experience, kids’ activities at the firehouse, and the enchanting Tunnel of Lights on the footbridge near the National Hotel.

Downtown merchants keep their doors open late offering refreshments and holiday shopping specials. The event is organized by the Historic Jackson Business Association along with the City of Jackson, Jackson Fire Department, and Amador County Chamber of Commerce. The Tunnel of Lights display continues nightly through December 31.
