Annual shrimp feed hosted by the Italian Benevolent Society at the Italian Picnic Grounds.
The Italian Benevolent Society’s Shrimp Feed is held at the Italian Picnic Grounds on Highway 49 in Sutter Creek. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. The menu features all-you-can-eat shrimp, homemade clam chowder, pasta, salad, bread, wine on the table, and dessert.
All proceeds go towards scholarships for students in Amador County. The Italian Benevolent Society, established in 1881, is the oldest independent Italian club in the United States, originally founded as a charitable institution to aid the families of Italian miners in the Amador County gold mining community.
