Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is owned and operated by the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians on tribal land along New York Ranch Road, just outside of Jackson. The resort features an 86-room hotel, a swimming pool, spa, and a full gaming floor with over 1,700 slot machines and 38 table games. Multiple dining options are available on-site, along with a regular calendar of live entertainment and special events.
The Miwuk people have inhabited the Sierra foothills for thousands of years, and the Jackson Rancheria — established as a federal trust in 1893 — is one of the oldest tribal reservations in California. The casino resort represents the tribe’s modern economic anchor and is one of Amador County’s largest employers. It should not be confused with Harrah’s Northern California, which is a separate casino operated by the Buena Vista Band of Me-Wuk Indians in nearby Ione.
