This website was nothing more than a proof of concept for a larger idea. It has been wildlly popular so I'm in the process of rebuilding it into something more robust, maintainable, and scalable.
The Kiota Inn — whose name means “nest” in Swahili — is the largest hotel in Sutter Creek, offering 52 air-conditioned rooms on Hanford Street as part of the Ascend Hotel Collection by Choice Hotels. Renovated in 2017, the property offers nine room configurations ranging from standard king and double-queen rooms to a honeymoon suite and family rooms that sleep up to four. Every room includes an LCD television with satellite programming, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, in-room safe, and a private bathroom. A complimentary continental breakfast buffet is served each morning — weekdays from 6:30 to 9:30 AM and weekends from 7:00 to 10:00 AM — and the property provides 24-hour front desk service, a fitness center, free self-parking with oversized-vehicle and bus parking, and a business center.
One of the few pet-friendly hotels in the area, the Kiota Inn welcomes dogs and cats at $25 per pet per night, with a maximum of two pets per room and a 75-pound weight limit. The entire property is 100% smoke-free. The inn’s event center offers over 2,000 square feet of flexible meeting space across multiple conference rooms. The Mother Lode Room accommodates up to 160 guests banquet-style or 214 for a cocktail reception, while the Play House Room seats up to 92 classroom-style. Tables, chairs, AV equipment, and on-site catering are available, and the space is fully ADA-approved — making Kiota Inn a practical choice for weddings, corporate retreats, and group events in the foothills. Children 17 and under stay free with an adult.
