This website was nothing more than a proof of concept for a larger idea. It has been wildlly popular so I'm in the process of rebuilding it into something more robust, maintainable, and scalable.
Mother Lode Market & Deli moved from Jackson to its current Sutter Creek location on Highway 49, bringing along its reputation for hearty deli sandwiches, homemade soups, and full-service catering. Run by Nick Gardella, catering is a major part of the business — they handle weddings, graduations, and events of all sizes.
The sandwich menu covers the classics and then some: Italian subs, hot pastrami Reubens, meatball subs, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken salad on a croissant, and an Asian chicken wrap. Pair one with garlic fries and a Caesar salad for a proper lunch. The deli operates weekday mornings through early afternoon, making it an ideal stop for a quick, satisfying meal on your way through Gold Country.
