This website was nothing more than a proof of concept for a larger idea. It has been wildlly popular so I'm in the process of rebuilding it into something more robust, maintainable, and scalable.
Founded in 1995 by Milan and Victoria Matulich, Dobra Zemlja — meaning “good earth” in Croatian — produces hearty, unfiltered, and unfined wines using native yeast from 100% estate-grown grapes. The tasting room, opened in 1997, is housed in Amador County’s first wine cave beneath a historic barn on Steiner Road. Known for old-vine Zinfandel, Barbera, Syrah, Sangiovese, Grenache, and Viognier, the winery also offers picnic grounds and hosts private events and weddings.

Founded in 1995 by Milan and Victoria Matulich and opened to the public in 1997, Dobra Zemlja — meaning “good earth” in Croatian — produces hearty, unfiltered, and unfined wines using native yeast from 100% estate-grown grapes. The tasting room is housed in Amador County’s first wine cave, built beneath a historic barn on Steiner Road, the region’s original wine trail. Known for old-vine Zinfandel, Barbera, Syrah, Sangiovese, Grenache, and Viognier, the winery also offers tree-shaded picnic grounds and hosts private events and weddings on their scenic property from May through September.
