Founded in 1973, Story Winery sits on one of Amador County’s oldest vineyard sites, with Zinfandel and Mission vines dating back to 1894. The winery is uniquely the only one in the US to offer wines made in 500-gallon Qvevri (Georgian clay pots), honoring an 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition alongside classic Sierra Foothills Zinfandel, Barbera, and Primitivo. The tasting room overlooks panoramic views of the Cosumnes River Canyon and 300-year-old oaks, with a picnic area, food service, and dog-friendly grounds.
