Turley Wine Cellars was founded in 1993 by former emergency room physician Larry Turley, who channeled his passion for restoration into rescuing California’s most historic old-vine vineyards. Under winemaker Tegan Passalacqua, Turley produces over 50 single-vineyard Zinfandels and Petite Syrahs from vines dating back to the late 1800s. The Amador County tasting room on Shenandoah Road sits among some of the region’s earliest viticultural sites, with an average vine age of 92 years.
