Add Art Framing & Gallery has occupied 20 Main Street since 1990, making it one of Jackson’s longest-running art destinations. The gallery is now owned and operated by Christopher and Arianna Michel, Amador County locals who grew up around the shop, left the area, and returned to Jackson to raise their family and carry the business forward. That second-generation commitment shows in the gallery’s focus on local artists and its role as a community gathering point for creative work in the Mother Lode.
Beyond the framed artwork on the walls, Add Art offers custom framing services, art classes, and instruction for all skill levels. Whether you need a Gold Country landscape professionally mounted or want to learn to paint one yourself, the gallery provides both the product and the education. The combination of retail, service, and teaching makes it more than a shop — it is a working art space rooted in the downtown Jackson community.
