Creekside Shops

Creekside Shops is a dealer-owned co-op with over twenty individual spaces, each curated by a different dealer with their own eye and expertise. The format produces a staggering range of inventory — furniture displaying classical aesthetics alongside cut and pressed glass, antique and costume jewelry, Victorian-era curiosities next to mid-century kitchenware, and collectibles that defy easy categorization. Because every dealer manages their own booth, stock turns over constantly, and no two visits are quite the same. The rotating inventory is one of the co-op’s greatest strengths — dealers are always acquiring new pieces, so there is a genuine sense of discovery each time you walk through the door.

Spread across 22 and 26 Main Street, the complex also houses Patricia Stikeleather Art and Photography, a gallery showcasing fine art, limited edition prints, and photography by local artists. It is a nice counterpoint to the antiques — a reminder that Sutter Creek’s creative community is alive and producing, not just preserving. The co-op model itself has deep roots in this part of the Sierra foothills; dealers and collectors have been trading in Amador County since the Gold Rush days, when prospectors and merchants exchanged everything from mining equipment to imported finery. That tradition of buying, selling, and trading has never really stopped along Main Street — it just evolved from mining supplies to antiques and collectibles.

Sitting at the lower end of Main Street, Creekside is a natural launching point for a day of antiquing. You can start here and work your way uphill through Sutter Creek’s dense corridor of shops, though fair warning — many visitors find they spend far longer in this co-op than they budgeted for. Open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, it is one of the most accessible stops on the street.
