Family owned since 1977, The Clothes Mine has been a Main Street institution for nearly five decades — one of the longest-running boutiques in Sutter Creek’s downtown. The name is a nod to the town’s hard-rock mining origins in the 1850s, but the shop itself is all about what people are wearing now — and what they are wearing to the most important events of their lives.
The range here is wider than you would expect from a small-town boutique. Women’s racks carry everything from classic everyday separates to polished special-occasion pieces, plus hats and accessories in regular and plus sizes. You will also find wine-themed tees in quality 100% cotton — a fitting nod to Amador County’s reputation as wine country. On the men’s side, Pendleton, Old Guys Rule, and Bamboo Cay suit the foothill lifestyle without skipping on quality.
Tucked inside The Clothes Mine is a dedicated bridal space offering a private shopping experience with both formal and informal gowns. Designers include Casablanca Bridal and Beloved by Casablanca, and suit and tuxedo rentals run through Jim’s Formal Wear. It is a full wedding outfitting service in a town that has become a popular destination for Sierra foothill weddings.
